Mr. Oluoch-Olunya also has sound experience in a range of corporate transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, joint venture arrangements and project financing. He has extensive experience in arbitration of construction disputes. Mr. Oluoch-Olunya also served as the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Kenya’s Export Processing Zones Authority, a parastatal responsible for promoting and facilitating export-oriented investments and development of an enabling business environment in Kenya with a total investment of US$ 1.15 billion in the 82 gazetted zones. As Chairman of the Board the key role was to provide strategies, oversight and guidance in promotion and diversification of exports, attracting domestic and foreign investments in export oriented manufacturing, generation of employment skills and technology transfer. Mr. Oluoch-Olunya is a member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and was admitted to the Kenya Bar in 1998. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from the University of Portsmouth, Bachelor of Laws Degree from the University of Buckingham, Post Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice from The College of Law, Guildford, England and a Post Graduate Diploma in Law from the Kenya School of Law. He is also a Notary Public and Patent Agent.
